Mubasher: Gold prices fell on Friday for the first time in five sessions, as the US dollar recovered against major currencies.
However, the yellow metal was able to record weekly gains of more than 1%, despite giving up some of its gains earlier when it reached its highest level in six months.
Gold futures for February delivery rose by 0.8% or $9.80 to $1,258.10 per ounce, recording weekly gains of around 1.3% or $16.
